One doesn’t think of Japanese Maples much in the Spring. The Fall, when the leaves turn that brilliant red, is always the headliner but Spring when the new leaves start to form up is a pretty close second with their reddish-orange hue. The color stopped me in my tracks and made me take my eyes off the pinkish/ purple Azalea that is blooming right below it. That’s the pink glow right behind the leaves. Soon, the leaves will begin turning green for Summer and the big tuneup for the Autumn Spectacular gets underway.
See you next time on most of this same blog.
