There he was, on the tip of a Pine Tree Candle. Well out of reach of the 60mm Macro Lens on my D90, I wondered if I had time to get back to the house, switch out the 60 for a 18-200mm and get back before he zoomed away! I did!
I took about 15 or 20 shots and he never moved. Not even a twitch of a wing. Completely Motionless.
It dawned on me that maybe Mr. Zoomer had stepped in some Pine Sap and gotten himself Stuck. I took another shot from this angle to grab the sun on his wings…then I shook the tree. A Twitch. Another Twitch….and he was off…..Zooming again. You’re so Welcome Mr. Zoomer.
See you next time on most of this same blog.
