Sunrise at the Gateway to the small Civil War Era Cemetery, Center Grove, here on the farm. It contains the graves of many Confederate Veterans of the North Carolina Infantry and their spouses. I believe the last burial here was in the 1940’s. If you’re interested in more details on the cemetery check my older posts. I took this shot as an afterthought. I was returning from shooting the fog shrouded sunrise in Twilight Field which is on the east side of the cemetery when I took a look back and saw the pale round sun perfectly positioned under the huge live oak that covers the graveyard. It was too good to pass up. A straight shot with the Nikon D700. No Filters and aside from some sharpening, a tweak to the vibrance and clarity in the RAW converstion panel in Elements 10, this is as taken. Thanks for the look.
