Hydrangea Fan

The Butterflies have inundated the Hydrangea Beds on the farm.  Swarms of them.  Pull up a lawn chair,  set up your tripod and wait a few seconds.  Easy Shooting.  This guy got quite comfortable on this Mexican Hydrangea bloom which appears to be their favorite.  He sat there for at least a minute before fluttering over to the next bloom.  An eternity for a butterfly.    Quite an afternoon.   Have a great Sunday evening and thank you for the visit.

    • They do migrate. I suspect most will be gone by late this month or early October. Most of those still here appear to be dark swallowtails…the Yellow ones, The Tiger Swallowtails, appear to be less in number now than a month ago.
