Fall Premier

This is among the first blooms in the Camellia Sasanqua grove here on the farm.  These will bloom right on through November into early December when their cousins, the Camellia Japonica’s bloom.  The Camellia Japonicas will bloom right on through the winter into late March.  It’s about the only source of flower color here on the farm in the Winter.

This is one of my  first shots with the new Nikon D600 full frame camera.  It’s a horse, packing  just over 24 megapixels.  I haven’t shot a camera with this much resolution since loading my F100 with Fuji Velvia.   Thanks for the look and have a great evening.
