I’m glad I was using a telephoto lens because if I really had been this close, I have no doubt this glaring Sandpiper would have taken a whack at me. At it was, I was about 15-20 feet away flat on my stomach, yes on a blanket, with a 300mm. When I set up, this guy was about 20 yards up the beach snagging sand crabs. He was heading south on the beach and he eventually strutted into my frame. He seemed to know I was watching because he stopped, turned and gave me this look. Taken on the beach at Duck, North Carolina on the Outer Banks. This was taken in mid September. Just me and the Sandpiper. He clearly preferred that it be just himself.
Have a Great Evening and Thanks for the Look.
