Photo Of The Day: Smiling Faces

Blogged July 9th, 2013

Sunflowers facing the Sun at the start of a new day.  This is from a week ago.  No work with the cameras today.  I had to drive up to Richmond to see my Eye Surgeon who over the course of several years brought me back to 20/20 vision from 20/400.  I have been in the very early stages of Fuchs Dystrophy for a number of years following the surgery and today I was told there has been no worsening of my condition.  Good News Indeed.  Fuchs, by the way,  is an inherited disorder of the endothelial cells of the Cornea.  It occurs when the endothelial cells deteriorate at a more rapid rate than normal.  It can lead to swelling of the cornea and decreased vision.  Fortunately it can be cured via cell transplant surgery.  Thanks for the look and have a great evening.
