Afternoon along the Currituck Sound in Eastern, North Carolina.
Time to start packing bug spray with a high deet factor if you’re headed this way. The dreaded flies are back on patrol for some nice juicy human to much on. I make it a point to wear long sleeve shirts this time of the year. People look at me like am nuts …….until they get stung.
Have a great remainder of the week.
When I saw this for the first time after crossing the causeway which leads to the field my initial thought was that a meteor had just just struck. I mean if it can happen in Siberia why not here. Of course it was just the below the horizon sun striking the cloud cover that created this very brief light show. Within a minute, it was gone. And in case you were wondering, yes, we did have rain this day and the next and the next. There always seems to be a weather price to be paid for every spectacular dawn here. Thanks for the look which is best when you click on the photograph. Have a great evening.
