From September of last year. Meantime, the nonstop string of cars, trucks and campers loaded with all things beach clog the beach road heading in both directions. The goers and comers have one more month, then the all clear signal will go up and I’ll head back to renew old acquaintances. Hope you have a great Sunday. And thanks for the look.
Looking south on the beach at Kitty Hawk on the Outer Banks. This was shot the day after Labor Day last year. The summer crowds are gone and what we call the quiet season has begun. Perhaps needless to say, I am looking forward to September. Have a great week ahead and thanks for the look. Nikon D700/ 18mm
I know, another beach sunrise. Sorry. I’ve been on jury duty this week so I had to dive into the archives. This one from September of 2011. The sun is just topping the ocean in this view from Duck, NC. Click on the photograph for a larger view.
As for jury duty, I’m done: the accused pled guilty this morning which thankfully, negated the need for my services. It’s the second straight time I have been called for jury duty in North Carolina and never served on a jury. I’m not complaining. I’d much rather be out with the camera.
Thanks for the look. And have a great evening
Nikon D700, 24mm.
This was a bit of a time exposure which will always flatten out the ocean but even so, for the Atlantic on the Northern Outer Banks, this is a calmness that is rather seldom seen. It was a lovely day, the clouds making wonderful art in the sky. Nikon D600 Camera with an 18-35mm lens at 18mm. Thanks for the look in and have a marvelous Sunday.
