This Camellia Japonica is often called Peppermint. I’ve also heard it called Strawberries and Cream. Whatever one calls it, it seems a natural for Valentines Day. Extremely hearty blooms, these are almost impervious to all but the most severe frosts. They almost always wait to bloom until the dead of Winter. I think this is the first time in several years they’ve opened up in time for Valentines Day. Here’s wishing it finds you in the midst of a memorable one. See you next time on most of this same blog.
